The THCT12016N is a 2024 incremental encoder interface. The device can independently determine the direction or displacement of a mechanical device or axis based on two input signals from transducers in quadrature. The THCT12016N may be cascaded to provide accuracy greater than 16-bits. The THCT12016N enables mechanical devices to be interfaced with micro-processors. It may be used in many diverse applications, including robotizes, printers/plotters, trackers balls, latches or machine tools, automobiles.
